Agreement

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you (the coach) and Oleh Rula, operating Square64, a chess coaching operations product (“we”, “us”).

By creating an account or signing in, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

This document is a pilot draft for early use and Google OAuth branding. It is not legal advice. We intend to update these Terms and obtain counsel review before charging for subscriptions.

The service

Square64 provides software tools for professional chess coaches, including roster management, lesson scheduling and calendar sync, puzzle homework, notifications, and a shareable public availability page.

Features may change during the pilot. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Accounts

You sign in with Google. You must use an account you are authorized to use and keep your access credentials secure.

In the current product version, accounts are for coaches. Students and parents do not hold Square64 accounts.

Your responsibilities

You are responsible for the accuracy of information you enter, including student and parent contact details, rates, schedules, and payment instructions.

If you add information about minors or contact minors or their parents through the product, you represent that you have parental or guardian authority (or another lawful basis) to do so. You must comply with applicable privacy and education laws in your use of the service.

You must not misuse the service (including attempting to disrupt it, access other coaches’ data without authorization, or use it for unlawful purposes).

Students and third parties

Homework links, public coach pages, and similar student-facing surfaces are tools for your coaching relationship. We do not contract with your students or their parents through those surfaces.

You remain responsible for your coaching relationship, lesson delivery, billing between you and your clients, and any commitments you make to them.

Third-party services

The service integrates with third parties such as Google (sign-in and Calendar), Lichess (optional), and email delivery providers. Their terms and privacy policies apply to your use of those services.

We are not responsible for outages or policy changes of those third parties.

Fees

Paid subscription billing is not live under these Terms. Pilot pricing and packaging may change. Before we charge for the product, we will update these Terms and communicate material changes in advance.

Any lesson fees or payments between you and your students are between you and them. Square64 does not take a platform cut of those client payments in the current product design.

Disclaimers

The service is provided “as is” and “as available” to the fullest extent permitted by law. We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, except where such disclaimers are not allowed.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or business interruption arising from your use of the service.

Our total liability for claims relating to the service is limited to the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim (if any) or (b) fifty euros (€50). Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Polish or EU law.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Poland, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer or data-protection rules of your country of residence apply.

We may update these Terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated version id and effective date. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
